The Faint
I went to see The Faint play at the Agora in Cleveland on Monday night. They were the middle act, sandwiched between Bright Eyes, who were the headliners, and Mars Black, a hip-hop artist from Omaha. They played a surprisingly long, energetic set that I found only slightly less entertaining than the show they headlined here in support of Danse Macabre.
The Faint performed in front of two large video screens that featured sequences timed to, and often literally depicting, the songs they were playing. The screens were there last time, but I don't remember the videos themselves being as literal. That's my only real complaint (well, that and the smoke), but it remained a show that I was more than happy to stand there and watch, which is becoming more of a rarity these days.
Off to The Decemberists this evening, which is a show that is even more of a rarity - a show that I've been anticipating for quite some time and I'm really excited about.
